Amax Security safeguards V8 Gourmet restaurant group

* Tiffinbites.jpgFast expanding national security and fire systems installer Amax Security has come to the aid of Europe's largest Indian restaurant group, providing a range of measures to protect the V8 Gourmet Group's sites against a variety of business related risks. Amax beat off strong competition to win the contract to install fire and security systems at all of the company's 22 UK locations.

The high profile chain's retail and wholesale portfolio includes the Tiffinbites casual dining chain - with concession sites at prestigious locations including Harrods and Selfridges' stores in London, Birmingham and Manchester - and the Bombay Bicycle Club chain of 15 delivery kitchens and four London restaurants.

V8 Gourmet Group's assets also include the fine dining Vama restaurant in London's West End, a TV and film catering service, event catering company Silk Events, and Khana, a catering service for airlines

Amax, which offers a flexible one-stop service to residential and commercial customers, has supplied intruder alarm systems, fire alarms, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers for the Group's properties. Amax Security's Surveyor, Sachin Patel, who's been closely involved with the project, says the company was chosen to carry out the work ahead of three competitors, demonstrating the credentials of its wide-ranging quality service, which includes independent NACOSS Gold approval from the National Security Inspectorate, the UK's leading certification body.

Amax's other services include CCTV surveillance solutions, door entry systems, automatic gates and barrier equipment, as well as an expanding line-up of fire safety systems such as sprinklers, gas suppression and detection equipment. Amax fire alarm systems conform to the strict requirements of BS 5839 and the company intends seeking registration with BAFE (British Approvals for Fire Equipment, the body recognised by regulators and specifiers as a sign of quality of product or service. Amax is also actively considering further third party approvals for its fire services.
