Yales Doormaster works nights with Mike B's Security
Mike B's Security Locksmith Ltd has adopted Yale's Doormaster multipoint locking range to help provide a more efficient repair service, especially when called out at night to repair failing or broken locks on PVC-u, Timber or Composite doors.
Midlands based Mike B's has recently introduced the new Doormaster solution after a site engineer attended a Yale training day and presented back positive feedback, specifically identifying how easy the product is to install and the fact that is offers a true 'one visit, one repair' solution for multipoint locking.
Multipoint locks are fitted to 80% of all new external residential doors and many older multipoint locks are reaching the end of their lifecycle. Over the coming months and years, growing numbers of multipoint locks are expected to fail, with over one million expected to require replacement in 2012.
Yale Doormaster is a cleverly designed, compact range of replacement locks, replacement gearboxes and "overnight" locks, which enables installers to instantly repair or replace the multipoint locks in virtually all PVCu, composite and timber doors.
So impressed by the range, Mike B's has also become a Yale approved installer through the Yale Doormaster Expert scheme.
Says Mike Bolesworth of Mike B's Security Locksmiths Ltd: "At least two or three times a week we get a call out at night, with homeowners reporting multipoint lock failure on entrance doors. Obviously at this sort of time, it is much more difficult to get a 'like for like' replacement lock and we have in the past often had to fix temporary security measures and returned at a later date when product was in stock.
"By adopting Yale's Doormaster range, we are much more likely to be able to replace the whole lock with no return trip required. And because each lock comes as a complete package it is easy to install, saving time and money. Overall, this is great news for the homeowner as it ensures complete and instant peace of mind. It's also better for us as we only need to make one visit - a much more efficient way of operating."
The Doormaster range features a high security Doormaster Professional solution, which includes three croppable replacement locks, offering 'like for like' security for virtually all multipoint locks with 35mm and 45mm backsets on PVCu, composite, and timber doors.
The Doormaster range also includes eight replacement gearboxes covering most of the market, and for emergency installations where temporary door repairs are required, there are seven "overnight" locks available, which will quickly and economically secure 90% of doors.
Mike B's also use the two Doormaster Universal replacement multipoint locks, offering one hook, two roller and two mushroom roller security for locks with 35mm and 45mm backsets in PVCu doors.
All Doormaster replacement multipoint locks are supplied with a completely pre-assembled non-handed keeps and all fixings. PVCu variants also utilise the patented Uni-packer system, which fits virtually all PVCu profiles and makes fitting keeps to the door frame extremely straightforward.
Alongside the Universal and Professional Doormaster ranges, an Adjustable replacement multipoint lock is available which avoids the requirement to crop on site and can be easily adapted to fit approximately 90% of multiple gearbox locks with 35mm backsets in PVCu doors.
Richard Thompson of Yale UK, added: "Mike B's demonstrate the many advantages of utilising the Yale Doormaster range and becoming a Yale Doormaster Expert. Not only do they offer a more efficient service, but they also benefit from Yale's brand strength amongst consumers. Yale Doormaster helps to ensure the smooth running of their 24 / 7 service and leaves homeowners safe and secure after just one visit".
