"I was only cleaning windows" used to be the standard 'cheeky chappie' excuse for burglars in the good old days when it was 'a fair cop, guv' as the burly policeman felt the perpetrator's collar. That was of course in the days when we had policemen on the streets who were actually interested in catching crooks in the act (health and safety rules, and quota chasing appear to have done away with all that). Now we hear that someone caught breaking in to a car in the US claims he was only practising locksmithing! If you really want to know how to work as an auto locksmith - you need to visit the Auto Locksmiths Expo (ALEX) to be held in Nottingham (same venue as the successful annual Locksmiths' Exhibition) this Autumn. More below.

We hear from Tradelocks that its your last chance to get your tool idea presented to the 'dragons' (despite the moody expressions, they're not that bad really) in order to have your idea included in the Tradelocks Signature range. Get moving guys (and gals). And good luck.
