Canadian border security threatened by job cuts, critics say
Major job cuts at the Canada Border Services Agency could undermine national security and public safety, according to a security expert and public-sector union officials, reports CBC news.
A total of 1,137 border agency employees were notified on Wednesday that they could lose their jobs as part of a massive wave of federal budget cuts, according to the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC).
