MPL lock in to new CORGI fenestration scheme

* MPL.jpgWakefield-based MPL the only provider of City and Guilds locksmith training courses in the UK, has become the first company in its sector to be registered to the recently launched CORGI Fenestration scheme.

The CORGI Fenestration scheme has been established to bring together the best in glazing company management, customer service, qualifications, the best qualified staff and their continuing professional development.

MPL, who moved into a new, dedicated training centre earlier this year in Wakefield, will initially deliver five-day CORGI Fenestration registered City & Guilds locksmith courses, accredited by qualifications body GQA and leading to participants gaining a CORGI Fenestration skills card.

Nicky England, MPL Locksmith Training Operations Director, commented: "Offering the CORGI Fenestration skills card alongside City & Guilds accreditation raises the locksmiths we train to another level. It demonstrates our commitment to continually improving the quality of training that we provide here in Wakefield.

"The skills card issued, similar to the CSCS card used in construction, offers peace of mind to customers accessing locksmith services given the reputation of the CORGI brand and we're pleased to be the first locksmith training firm registered to a scheme that looks to share best practice and raise standards across the whole supply chain," added Nicky.

Chris Mayne, CEO CORGI Fenestration Ltd, commented: "CORGI Fenestration establishes a strict set of criteria for companies through which the highest of standards and management best practice can be recognised and publicised, such as QMS (Quality Management Systems).

"We're delighted that MPL, a genuine pioneer in their industry, has become the first locksmith firm to join the scheme. It will only add to the integrity of the training and qualifications that they offer," added Chris.

Over a thousand trading locksmiths, organisations and individuals from across the UK and Europe have already benefited from MPL's range of courses since MPL's formation in 2008 with the vast majority going on to establish their own successful locksmith business.
