Locksmith frees crying toddler after 4 hours in shut bank vault

A 14-month-old girl who wandered away from her mother and grandmother spent four hours trapped inside a time-locked bank vault until a locksmith freed her.

The child apparently strayed into the open vault as the bank was closing. After the missing child was spotted on security cameras inside the vault, Atlanta police and firefighters tried unsuccessfully to free the toddler and feverishly summoned the locksmith.

While rescue workers pumped fresh air into vents leading to the vault while the locksmith worked, authorities stood by along with the child's relatives.

After using a 'big drill' the locksmith freed the little girl who was fine save a much-needed nappy change!
