The Spring Man: to suit old and new locks

* Springman.jpg

The Spring Man specialises in supplying locksmiths with a wide range of lock springs to suit old and new locks, including traditional mortice locks such as Wellington, Erebus, Chubb, Union etc; digital locks such as Unican/Simplex; nightlatches; and also springs to suit a range of traditional and modern door furniture, including Italian brasswear and UPVC door handles.

From its origins in Worcestershire in 1937, stewardship of The Spring Man business has been in the hands of the Rattue family, but following John Rattue’s recent retirement has passed to husband and wife team, Worcestershire-based Fiona and Gerry Ritchie.  Fiona and Gerry are working hard to develop a wider product range and to introduce a new bespoke spring production service for locksmiths who need specific, not normally available types of springs in small or large quantities.  Fiona and Gerry are committed to ensuring that all spring production is by UK-based manufacturers so that order turnaround times can be relatively fast and quality control kept at the highest standard, whilst supporting UK industry.
