Upcoming CCTV Code of Practice launch and webinar discussion
The ICO is publishing its updated CCTV Code of Practice next month. The guidance takes into account developments in the use of CCTV and other forms of video surveillance since the guidance was first published in 2000. This will include everything from automatic recognition of car number plates through to the personal information collected by flying drones.
The code will also mark the launch of the new ICO webinar service. The first webinar will be held a few days after the launch of the new CCTV Code of Practice. The webinar will give a unique opportunity to watch a live presentation carried out by the ICO policy team discussing the guidance, and allow you to send them your questions.
