UK Access Control market boosted by increased construction activity

According to 'Access Control', a new Market Update by market intelligence provider, Key Note, new construction orders in the UK rose by 14.8% in 2013.

The construction of new buildings is a main determinant for demand in the access control market. In 2013, the UK access control market grew by 2.9%, after witnessing weak growth in the previous year. Audio and video entryphone systems are a low-cost solution for access control installers. Keypad access-control entry systems have been extremely popular for the past few years, and the market is now fairly mature.

Key Note forecasts that the UK access control market will continue to grow over the next five years. The ongoing need for protection against crime and improvements in the construction sector will ensure a continued growth in demand for access control products.

'Access Control' is available to purchase from Key Note on 0845-504 0452, by e-mail at [email protected] or at www.keynote.co.uk, priced £575.
