No foreign security company can operate in Pakistan

The National Assembly was informed that no foreign security company is allowed to operate in the country under the prescribed criteria for private security companies. Minister for Interior Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan told the House during question hour that if any company is illegally operating in the country then strict action will be taken against those who issued visas in this regard.

He said that there has been a complete ban on the issuance of fresh licenses for weapons over the last three months. He added that during the last few years as many as seventy thousand licenses were issued, which have resulted in an increase in the crime rate. Finally he added that all cases of issuance of licenses where the fee has been deposited before 20th June, 2013 are being processed.
