Chubb at Heart's heart charity bike ride

* CaH_bike_team.jpgASSA ABLOY's Chubb at Heart team has completed the British Heart Foundation's annual London to Brighton bike ride, raising £1,440 for the charity.

15 staff from Yale and UNION, who are inheriting Chubb security products, joined more than 27,000 people on Sunday 20 June to cycle 54 miles from Clapham Common to the Palace Pier.

The Chubb at Heart cyclists set off at 8:30am and arrived on Brighton seafront at various times from 1.30pm to 6.00pm. The bike ride is Europe's largest charity cycling event and raises more than £4million for the British Heart Foundation each year.

Says Ian Tilly of Chubb at Heart: "Everyone who took part really enjoyed the day and had a real sense of achievement from completing the race and working together for such a fantastic cause.

"We had a great response from everyone we work with as well as our customers, and are already looking forward to next year's race, hopefully with more riders!"

The Chubb at Heart campaign was launched to manage the discontinuation of the Chubb brand on locking products, following the end of negotiations over licensing agreements between ASSA ABLOY and UTC, the American multinational that owns the brand.

From August 2010, Chubb additional security products will be available under the Yale brand, while the famous Chubb mortice locks, rim locks and padlocks will be available from UNION.
