M&C Condor achieves Sold Secure Diamond

* condor-full-brass-cylinder.jpgM&C have announced that their Condor cylinder has achieved Sold Secure Diamond certification.

All of their cylinders were already certified to the SKG 3 star standard, but differences between the Dutch and British standards meant that they had to add an anti-snap element to existing cylinders for the UK market.

Condor, like all of M&C's cylinders, uses their Modulock system, which allows locksmiths to resize, make thumbturns and even keyed alike sets on the door without re-pinning.

The anti-snap function is achieved with the addition of an relocker to any existing cylinder. This allows for a keyed alike system that includes both 1* and 3* equivalents to be put together in a few minutes on-site.

For a modular cylinder to achieve Sold Secure Diamond is a UK first, and locksmiths will be able to attend factory training to become accredited installers.

Nigel Tolley, UK Technical Lead, said "We're very happy that Condor has achieved the Diamond standard. This is a real boost for UK locksmiths as it allows them to carry less stock, and save time and money.

We look forward to introducing many more locksmiths to the Modulock system in 2020, through Lockexpo, MLA regional events and at our training sessions."

There are plans for the testing of other M&C cylinders later in 2020. For more information visit the UK website at https://morethansecure.co.uk/ or call 01922 322199.
