The Key Safe Company sponsorship lights up Blue Lamp Trust

Leading distributor of secure, quality and effective key storage and key management solutions, The Key Safe Company, has signed a two-year sponsorship agreement with the Blue Lamp Trust to help improve home security in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Established in 2010, the Blue Lamp Trust is dedicated to promoting and enhancing community safety. 

It operates The Bobby Scheme, which is a practical service that aims to bring peace of mind to the vulnerable and elderly by providing free home security checks and crime prevention advice.

As a valued supporter of the Blue Lamp Trust since 2015, The Key Safe Company has provided financial support, as well as supplying its leading Supra C500 KeySafe to help vulnerable people feel secure in their home. As part of the home assessment carried out by the Trust, the key safe can be supplied and fitted to allow unrestricted access to the home for users, without the need for multiple keys. It also means that family members, carers and emergency services can safely access the property of an elderly or vulnerable person.

David Watkins, Business Development Manager at Blue Lamp Trust, commented: "The Bobby Scheme was introduced to help victims of burglary and vulnerable people to feel safe at home. We want to ensure that they are protected and have suitable security measures in place. By supplying police accredited key safes, we are not only improving home security, but we are also preventing future crimes."

The Bobby Scheme is a service for the elderly and vulnerable residents of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The organisation receives referrals from a number of sources, including local authorities and concerned family members, and has secured over 18,000 homes since 2010.

David added: "Although there are numerous key safes on the market, the Trust only supply and fit the Supra C500 KeySafe as it is recognised by the official Police Security Initiative Secured By Design. As we often work with those who are deemed vulnerable, it is vital that we are providing extremely secure and reliable products."

The police accredited Supra C500 KeySafe is recognised by the Secured by Design initiative, achieving the LPS1174: Issue 6, security rating 1. It is also recognised by leading home insurance companies and the product has undergone a series of rigorous and demanding tests devised by security experts who concluded that it is as attack resistant as a domestic front door.
