Mitie becomes platinum member of the National Business Crime Solution initiative

Mitie has become a platinum associate member of the National Business Crime Solution (NBCS), an organisation that provides a collaborative approach to tackle cross-border, serious, and organised crime.

NBCS enables the sharing of data between law enforcement agencies and the business community to reduce crime and risk. The not-for-profit organisation facilitates a central repository where business crime data can be submitted, shared and analysed. This intelligence is used to detect and respond to crimes affecting the UK's business community in a bid to enhance safety for the general public.

Mitie's security business works with customers from a range of industries including the top two retailers in the UK. Through close collaboration with NBCS and an evidence-based approach, the partnership will help to gain further insight into criminal trends and provide a safer environment for customers and staff.

Jason Towse, Managing Director of Mitie's security management business, said:

"This partnership with NBCS provides a great opportunity for us to help facilitate collaboration between businesses, industry and law enforcement agencies and offers our clients forward-thinking security. We look forward to working together through this innovative new partnership model and help to reduce crime and risk for UK businesses."

Dan Hardy, Managing Director of NBCS, said:

"We are honoured that Mitie, one of the largest security companies in the UK has chosen to work with the NBCS in a member-based approach to business crime management."

An inaugural members event takes place on 9 January 2018 where Jason Towse will deliver a presentation entitled: 'Safer and better together: Re-thinking security', which looks at the changing landscape of the security industry.
