United States names its first Chief Information Security Officer

US president Barack Obama has named Brigadier General (retired) Gregory J. Touhill as the nation's first ever Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Touhill previously served as deputy assistant secretary for Cybersecurity and Communications in the Office of Cybersecurity and Communications at the Department of Homeland Security.
