Avocet becomes an affiliate member of MLA

Leading hardware supplier Avocet Hardware has joined the Master Locksmiths Association (MLA) as an affiliate member.

The MLA is a non-profit making organisation established to set and promote standards of conduct, practice and materials within the locksmith industry. The MLA also owns a test house - Sold Secure - certifying security products through attack testing. Avocet's market leading ABS Snap Secure Cylinder recently achieved the Sold Secure Diamond standard test.

The Diamond standard is the most demanding security standard in the industry and the ABS is the only cylinder to achieve it. The scheme is recognised by the Home Office, insurers and the Police. All testers are MLA members and the testing is to its' own high specifications developed with the relevant industry bodies.
