Monitoring centre director says regular 12-hour shifts have significant negative impact on CCTV operator health and effectiveness

And the cumulative effect of regular 12-hour shifts can have a negative health impact as well.

That’s the view of Kerry Jones, co-founder and director of Wigan-based independent monitoring centre Professional Surveillance Management (PSM). PSM is the first remote monitoring CCTV control room company to achieve the Secured by Design ‘Police Preferred’ specification, and also holds Gold accreditation from the National Security Inspectorate (NSI).

Automated security screening on horizon for US airports

STA announces partnership with security firm SmartWater

The Solar Trade Association has announced a partnership with security specialists SmartWater. Under the terms of the partnership, STA members are entitled to an exclusive discount of more than 25% off the installation of SmartWater’s unique asset marking technology, and more than 15% off the annual site licence fee.

The STA will also be collaborating with SmartWater to develop and implement a site security incident monitoring and reporting system, including a monitoring “Dashboard” integrating rural crime data from across the UK, to provide site area security alerts to STA members.

Jacksons Fencing chosen at Cambridgeshire primary school
