Loxal Security's revolutionary Block Lock - which utilises the company's unique and revolutionary IDACS technology (Intelligent Digital Access Control System) - has been recognised for its capabilities to deter and reduce crime by Secured by Design (SBD), the national police crime prevention initiative.
It is the second of Loxal's products to be accredited by SBD in the last 18 months.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation enforced by the European Union to strengthen data protection for everyone within the EU, and will affect all businesses that sell goods or services to people within the EU.
The GDPR will come into force in the EU on 25 May 2018, and at this point all organisations, including automotive locksmiths, that hold personal data of individuals will have to get all current data up to standard and abide by these strict data privacy regulations, or else be faced with heavy fines.Full Story
Leeds lock manufacturer Pickersgill-Kaye has secured a contract worth nearly half a million pounds to supply London Underground with new safety critical equipment, as part of the refurbishment programme for the Metro-Cammell (now Alstom) 1972 rolling stock.
Pickersgill-Kaye, a trading division of ASSA ABLOY the global leader in door opening solutions, will provide the capital's carriages operating on the Bakerloo line, one of the most important routes on London Underground's system, with 1,400 emergency alarm-pull handle units.

It can be a tricky topic where businesses are concerned... However, the grey fleet - which refers to any vehicle used for making a work-related journey, which is not owned or leased by the organisation itself - can be managed effectively when the right steps are taken.
By now everybody will be aware of the sad demise of Codringtons. Kenny Little, known to everybody in the trade is now running a brand new company; Q-Locks and is focusing on the Anker and BiLock aspects of the old company. All the old suiting records have also been transferred so there is also continuity with profiles etc.
