A partnership between access control management systems from Cambridgeshire-based Tensor plc, and biometric fingerprint readers from Newcastle-based ievo Ltd is providing a wide range of clients across diverse sectors with state-of-the-art security systems.
Whilst Tensor plc is the only Access Control manufacturer and installer to hold both the NACOSS Gold and the 'Secured by Design' certifications and CPNI-approved ievo's fingerprint readers are setting global standards for secure biometric identification and authentication systems, the integration of the two company's products and expertise is enabling new and existing customers to enjoy superior level of security, usability and efficiency, whilst significantly reducing operational costs.
Pole emploi is a French governmental agency which registers unemployed people, provides social benefits and helps them find jobs. It also offers opportunities for companies to hire staff. The agency was created in 2009 as a result of a government pledge to reduce the unemployment rate.
For complete user convenience wAppLoxx is designed so the door can be opened or closed either on site or on the go using web or app access. For an all-encompassing security solution wAppLoxx can be networked with an alarm and video surveillance system.
Secured Alarm Systems has installed ACT's Cloud-based access control system, ACT365, at the new UK base of Dr Organic, a natural skincare and beauty product company. Dr Organic created a production, design and distribution centre within the 18-acre Swansea Enterprise Park to consolidate its operations in Europe.
ACT365 gives users simple but powerful management of access points both locally and remotely. It allows the operator to analyse door status and activate doors from any major web browser or ACT's own App. ACT365 also unifies VMS with access control, enabling users to control cameras from the same platform.
"Breaches continue to take place without companies identifying the breach, or at least the full impact of the breach. The time taken between the breach occurring and notification to those whose details are breached can leave to risk of compromise of other accounts. We have an issue about how we authenticate ourselves to systems currently - mostly relying solely on passwords or personal information (when a password is forgotten).

Lumenox has announced its new LPX6 explosion proof ATEX/IECEx approved high output LED portable floodlight, lumenox.co.uk/lpx6, suitable for providing temporary portable lighting in Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 gas and dust environments in oil and gas, petrochemical, aviation, marine, utility and other hazardous areas.
Powered from either 115 or 230VAC, the light output, generated from an array of 16 high efficiency LED light engines, is 5800 lumens at a colour temperature of 5000K.
