Secured By Design approval for 5 UAP brand product ranges

Leading Door and Window furniture manufacturer UAP is delighted to report that Secured By Design approval has been granted for 5 UAP brand security product ranges. These are:

UAP Zero Lift Budget Cylinders

UAP+ Zero Lift Anti Snap Cylinders

UAP Door Viewers (full range)

UAP Letterplates (full range)

UAP 6 Lever Mortice Locks

Secured By Design is now the sought-after requirement for supply of products to many housing associations, local authorities and the new build sector. Put simply, without Secure By Design accreditation a supplier cannot hope to sell its goods to many of these areas.

The purpose of Zero Lift Cylinders is to protect against attack by Lock Bumping using mechanical means. UAP have 2 ranges of Cylinders incorporating the Zero Lift facility. The budget range is aimed at anyone producing doors for the Social Housing market. These offer a Secured by Design Cylinder at the lowest price in the market. David Jennings says, "Zero lift was developed because of the problems we find with Trap Pins. We wanted to develop a solution that was economical and affordable. Zero lift does just that and we expect it to be the cylinder of choice for all door manufacturers. Our budget cylinder 70mm cylinder is available for under £3.25 + VAT for most of our customers."

"The UAP+ Anti Snap Zero Lift cylinder offers protection against most common means of attack and can be used without a cylinder guard for Secured by Design purposes. The UAP+ range comprises over 70 different cylinders. Again we expect to see the UAP+ range as the cylinder of choice for any company wanting low cost affordable, high security cylinders."
