We have Mail: Warning - counterfeit key cutting machines
We have to report to you all that a keycutting machine, the X6, made in China appears to be coming to the UK market. It is not clear who will be selling it. It appears on a website which claims to be associated with a well known trade supplier but we also hear that a firm in Devon will bring it to the market.
The X6 has been made with pirated software and firmware copied from the Miracle A5 and A4 machines, made by our colleagues Red Technology in South Korea and for whom we are the sole UK representative and agents.
We are preparing a compliant to Customs requesting seizure of the machines as they are no different to copied Rolex watches or Levis or Chanel No.5 – all fakes.
Pirated copies of proprietary equipment do no one in our industry any good and have the potential for harm both to existing businesses and end-user security.
In our own case we have spent years developing and building up the reputation of Miracle key-cutting machines, have hundreds of end-users to whom we provide an exemplary spares and repair service. Although we no longer sell the Miracle A5 as we have developed the A6 we do sell the Miracle A4 which again was a special development for a particular sector of our market. The X6 mirrors many mechanical and electronic features of that machine.
Yours faithfully
