Dorgard X arrives at St Pancras Grand Brasserie

* Brasserie.jpgThe St Pancras Grand Brasserie, Oyster and Champagne Bar - located alongside the Eurostar platform of St Pancras International and combining the romance of travel from a bygone era with fabulous, quintessentially British dining - has installed Fireco's hard wired System X with Dorgard X wireless fire door retainers to legally and safely hold open fire doors and enhance access without compromising fire safety.

The Brasserie is a very busy environment, with waiting staff constantly moving from the kitchens to dining areas often carrying heavy trays. 'It's vital we can keep our fire doors open legally. Dorgard X has proven to be the perfect solution as it allows us to legally and safely hold open fire doors and enhance access, automatically closing them in the event of a fire emergency.'

When the fire alarm sounds Dorgard X receives a signal from System X to release the fire doors, preventing the spread of fire and smoke. System X can be either hardwired into the fire alarm panel or a completely wireless acoustic system. Any number of Dorgard X units can be linked to any one System X unit within range, although a site survey must be carried out prior to installation.

Features include: Automatic night-time release facility; complies with BS EN 1155 and accepted by the Fire and Rescue Service; improves access throughout buildings in line with the Equality Act 2010; available in a variety of colours and finishes; CE marked.
