Can you crack it?

After six years and numerous attempts by experts and hotel guests, Okato's Stony River Hotel, New Zealand, is giving the public a chance to crack its mystery safe - and throwing in a free meal to the successful safecracker.

About 30 people have tried to open the floor safe, discovered in what's thought to be an old office during renovations to the hotel in 2005.

In 2005 Wellington locksmith John Levestam used a computerised dialling system to try to crack the safe, which has a million potential combinations, but was unsuccessful.
