Introducing the new 3525 Electronic Rack Handle

* 3525.jpg- the Integrated Solution for Securing Data Centers, and other Enclosures

Rutherford Controls Int'l Corp., April 19, 2011 - One of the biggest challenges in business today is the protection of stored information. If not secured properly, credit data, financial details, business and personal information is at risk when stored in a server room.

The RCI 3525 Electronic Rack Handle provides a secondary layer of controlled access to complement the existing perimeter security. The functionality of a manual latching system - with the added benefit of electronic locking and monitoring - can be combined with any 3rd party access control device for a basic self-contained solution. The 3525 does not require separate controls and software, therefore providing a simple and cost effective cabinet retrofit.

Alternatively, the Electronic Rack Handle can be managed via a networked rack control and monitoring system for access control over the internet. Integrated lock sensors provide local LED indication and generate output signals for remote alarm activation and notification.

"The new RCI 3525 is a great addition to our growing 'Electric Locks' product segment. RCI continues to add new locking solutions for a variety of unique small enclosure applications. There is a growing demand from End Users looking for ways to secure openings, (other than doors). They don't know where to find effective locking solutions for these applications. The 3525 enables RCI to help our Integrator partners add value to their business by solving problems for the End User" says Jeff Stoner, National Sales Manager, OEM Market.

Standard features include: Single or multi-point locking, low power gear motor-driven mechanism - less than 200mA at 12VDC, momentary or continuous lock actuation, high security DIN lock for mechanical key override, fits industry standard panel preparations and it's non-handed. The 3525 comes with a 78" wire harness, hardware kit, and 3 keys (keyed alike) at no extra charge.

Known today as RCI, Rutherford Controls Int'l Corp., is a global solution-based organization that provides the architectural hardware, locksmith, security and OEM markets with the best in electric locking and access control solutions.
