Who can be trusted to deal with data securely?

With issues of cybercrime still prevalent, companies are understandably cautious about who can be trusted to deal with their data securely. As a result, hosting provider UKFast has been working towards several industry standards to prove the security of its client's data. This week, the company has achieved ISO accreditations guaranteeing quality management and environmental management, adding to its existing information security management certification.

Gaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 is a significant step in the company's development and one that is particularly important to UKFast's MD Lawrence Jones.

Jones states: "We hope that by achieving these certifications, we can help to lead our industry into a new era - one that prioritises client trust. It is important to reassure those that rely on us to look after their data"

The standards prove that all areas of UKFast's business operations are compliant to the criterion set out by the ISO. ISO is a network of the international standards which are regulated in the UK by a governmental body called UKAS - United Kingdom Accreditation Service to maintain their unwavering standards.

The accreditations are intended to "enable a consensus to be reached on solutions that meet both the requirements of business and the broader needs of society."

Many organisations receiving tenders from suppliers, will only consider those that have achieved ISOs a prerequisite.

According to the latest research from CyberSource, 4 out of 5 merchants are forecasting growth online in 2011. Therefore, now more than ever hosting solutions are crucial to the success of a business and as such, having confidence in a hosting provider is paramount.

ISO 9001, 14001 and 27001 certifications are a demonstration of UKFast's commitment to ensuring that clients receive exemplary levels of service.

Lawrence Jones:"It is important for us that our clients know that their hosting solution is safe with us. ISO standards are rigorous and wide-reaching and as such are an important way of establishing trust with our clients and building their confidence in our business."
