'Adult player' app snaps intimate photos of you - then locks you out of phone and demands £330 ransom

* Man-using-laptop.jpgA pornographic Android app that secretly snaps pictures of people before blocking their phones has been discovered by a security company.

'Adult Player' promised on-the-go filth but was in fact an example of ransomware that tricked those that used it. The app would use the phone's front-facing camera to take a picture of whoever was using it and then lock the gadget completely. It would demand £330 in ransom before the phone was able to be used again.

The racket was discovered by American security company Zscaler.
