* ABUS-BSI.jpgABUS have introduced new TS007 BSI* cylinder ranges tested to BSI Kitemark Scheme TS007:2014 1 Star and approved to British Standard BS EN1303, which can be suited to either customer specific Y14 & Z14 Euro Profiles, or available on an open ABUS House Z14 section.

Pickersgill-Kaye locks in another order from Hitachi rail for safety critical equipment

* Hitachi-East-Coast-train.jpgPickersgill-Kaye, part of ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, has agreed a new contract with Hitachi Rail Europe to manufacture emergency door handles for the new 'Azuma' trains being built for Virgin Trains' East Coast Main Line services as part of the Intercity Express Programme (IEP).

Thousands of Emergency Egress Devices (EED) and Emergency Access Devices (EAD) will be manufactured at Pickersgill-Kaye's Leeds facility for the Class 800 bi-mode and Class 801 all-electric vehicles being built at Hitachi's Newton Aycliffe UK Rail Vehicle plant.

BT-based scams are becoming commonplace these days as the company is the largest UK telephone services provider. The aim of the scammers is to get your account details so that they can go to town on your money. They will try that by seeking details of your phone account or your Internet account.

Fraudster wrongly claimed £12k benefits after setting up locksmith business

A fraudster who wrongly claimed nearly £12,000 in benefits will be fitted with an electronic tag. Ainsley Cresswell, from Cornovian Close, Perton, illegally received Job Seeker's Allowance (JSA) and Housing Benefit. A court heard the 47 year old's claims, which date back to May 2013, started legitimately after his marriage broke down.

High powered cameras could steal your fingerprints from a photo

Flashing the peace sign in a selfie could be setting you up for a security nightmare! Isao Echizen, a professor at the Digital Content and Media Sciences Research Division of the National Institute of Informatics has successfully obtained fingerprints from photographs taken from up to three metres away.

He specifically warned against the peace sign, as it could give identity thieves the opportunity to match fingerprints with a face.
